Fashion Film Opening Recap This weekend I had the opportunity to moderate a panel for the DC premiere of the documentary Advanced Style.
It was a lovely day that started with a brunch in Georgetown.
The brunch took place at the City Tavern Club, which is such a pretty spot for events. (I mean, check out that wallpaper!)
My husband, Navin, came along and was such a good sport! He hung in with hours of fashion and style talk. (Side note, my dress is from the 1950's and was such a joy to wear. I purchased it at Beltway Vintage.)
After brunch we went to the premiere! If you get a chance, definitely catch the film. It's a beautiful commentary on style and growing older. (If it isn't coming to your town you can always rent it on iTunes.)
After the film I was able to chat with the film director, Lina Plioplyte, and one of the stars, Debra Rapoport. They were both so warm and open about the film, its message, and style philosophy.
It was a fantastic day, and I was very honored to be a part of it.
